The birth of a child is much more than we can imagine. The human mind cannot fully comprehend how such a beautiful creature arises out of nothing. I remember thinking: when I see the baby, will he be Nahum or not Nahum? (We came up with the name in advance.) And I immediately realized that this was Naum. Then, I remember every feature of his face immediately after birth. I looked: yeah, this is from dad, this is from grandma, this is from grandpa. When we finally “disassembled” him, we realized that in fact he doesn’t look like anyone, he looks like himself.

Observing a child gives much more than we can imagine. We have a lot of clichés: how to raise a child, develop it. This is probably all you need to know. But it seems to me that the most important thing is not to force the child into generally accepted frameworks. He is born, he has his own character that needs to be felt. This is such a perfect universe – every child… Parents who are trying to hang up some yellow-orange toy and force their child to play with it seem to me to be simply complete fools. For two months now they have been giving me a lot of advice: I need to do this, that… But in fact, the child teaches me much more than I teach him. And it is right. Now, it seems to me, I shouldn’t teach him anything. Because he is now much wiser than me and closer to nature, to nature… Children do not live in the past and future, they live in the present. And how often in our lives do we indulge in either memories or dreams and forget that we live today. If you follow the example of children, you will live much more harmoniously, you will live in the present moment. And rejoice and live it to the fullest. This is one of the lessons I learned from watching Nahum. Little children, with their helplessness and their charm, “soften” human hearts. I feel this myself… I think: if a woman deprived herself of motherhood for the sake of a career, then, of course, she is deeply wrong.
