You are dealing with a toxic narcissist

Narcissists are dangerous, manipulative people who can ruin your life. There are several signs that clearly indicate that you are communicating with such a person.

Misinterpretation of criticism

Transforming what others say involves exaggeration. For example, if you start criticizing a manipulative narcissist, but do so carefully and without negativity, he may turn things around and say that you are portraying everything in too negative a light. A narcissist will immediately tell you that you think he is a villain on a universal scale.

In this way, the toxic person tries to show that you want to blame him for something he did not do. This is a great way for a perpetrator to become a victim.

Change the polarity of the dialog

You expose the liar, manipulator, and narcissist, but instead of apologizing, he tries to start talking about his feelings. For example, you tell a colleague that he didn’t do something on time. If he starts apologizing and talking about how hard the last few weeks have been for him because of his sick dog, the renovations, or anything else, know that this is a real manipulator.

If a person focuses only on their own feelings and does not respect other people’s emotions at all, they are definitely a narcissist. Don’t let such people lead the conversation about how hard their lives are, how poor and miserable they are. Follow your line all the way without letting them fool you.

Allegedly with good intentions

This is kind of an addendum to the previous point. If you notice a change in the direction of the dialogue, you will most likely detect the narcissist’s attempt to communicate what his intentions were. He will say that he really wanted to do an excellent job, but everything went wrong.

Narcissists like to say they had the best intentions and pure thoughts. They do not admit their selfish motives. This is pure manipulation.

Strong anger

The last and most important sign of a narcissist is anger caused by healthy criticism. If you are careful with your words and are not trying to hurt the person, and yet he starts losing his temper and tries to threaten you, it means that you are dealing with a typical narcissist. Get rid of it immediately!
