The observer’s position

The observer’s position

The observer’s position

The observer’s position is only good temporarily: for a couple of minutes to assess the situation, then you need to force yourself to do the first exercise. Well, or just look at everything “in the first person”, not look at yourself and the situation from the outside.
The observer’s position is very convenient and comfortable. It kind of removes responsibility from a person for his actions and decisions. Makes him not involved in what is happening. At the same time, the person himself in the position of an observer can feel wise, correct, it seems to him that this is the only true way to self-knowledge. The process of observation is so convenient and enjoyable that a person is happy to move from self-observation to spying on others. It begins to seem to him that only by observing others can one understand the meaning of life.
The observer’s position quickly becomes familiar and feels natural. Since this position seems to be correct, none of us sounds the alarm, but continues to live quietly on, realizing that he is doing everything right. And often a person even boasts about it: I am an observer!
Why is this position dangerous
For a one-time application, being an observer is certainly useful – to look around, assess the situation, draw conclusions… And then – we need to act! But the observer cannot act. After all, you will have to leave a convenient, comfortable observation. Who would think of changing the pleasant “I’m watching” to the uncomfortable “I’m acting”? Only if life forces you to… And then not immediately, at first a person will rush to look for the guilty on the side – it’s so natural for an observer. He spies on everyone, and knows who looks at him askance, who envies him, who can create intrigues… That’s what the observer’s position gives us – non-involvement and irresponsibility.
An observer can accuse the whole world of treason for decades, consider himself an undeserved victim, and constantly justify his inaction by the machinations of enemies, the lack of strength and energy that these very enemies steal from him.
How can we not have strength if we are the SOURCE of our strength?
It’s like saying that the spring does not have enough water – it flows out all the time! How can we experience a lack of energy if we, like fish, are literally swimming in an ocean of energy? We breathe it, choke on it, but we still think that we lack it. Why? It is precisely because of the observer’s position, which does not allow us to see what is, but forces us to see what we want, forces us to be passive and inactive.
How to identify the observer’s position
During the day, take care of yourself – which is more interesting to you? Observe what is happening around you, or observe yourself – body posture, sensations, emotions, reactions to stimuli, etc. If you started to feel like you were sitting next to yourself – on the right or on the left, then this is it.
How to get out of the observer position
Gather your ATTENTION.
• For example, you can feel a rod inside the body (it is convenient to consider the spine as a reference point) and hold on to this rod.
• You can take a slow deep breath with the epicenter in your head, hold your breath, gathering your attention at the epicenter, and then exhale slowly, directing your attention to any object – object, sound, sensation.
• You can make a strong-willed effort by adding any short, succinct phrase (I! I am!) and to see the difference in perception…
In general, make the first basic one)))
The first basic exercise gradually kills the observer’s position in us. And gradually you see how you become stronger, more attentive, more responsible, you begin to understand that no one but you is to blame for your problems, you begin to feel that you have a lot of strength and energy in you – you do not get tired, do not lose heart, and if something does not work out – you just enthusiastically rush into difficulties, to win. There is no question of “what to do?”, because there is always, literally around the clock, an understanding of what to do, where to go, what to pay attention to…
